Origin of Mid -Autumn Festival According to the ancient legend, the Mid -Autumn Festival began from the Dynasty of Tang Dynasty, the Du Ton King, the Van Minh dating. That year on the full moon night of August, when playing out of the city, the king met a fairy in the shape of a silver -headed old man. The fairy created a rainbow, one head of the moon, one end of the ground. The king climbed up the rainbow to the moon. Returning to earth, nostalgic moon, the king set out the Mid -Autumn Festival. According to archaeologists, the Mid -Autumn Festival in Vietnam has been in ancient times, printed on the surface of Ngoc Lu bronze drum. According to the epitaph of Doi Pagoda in 1121, from the Ly dynasty, the Mid -Autumn Festival was officially held in Thang Long.
